Atopic dermatitis, the most common form of eczema, is a chronic, relapsing inflammatory skin condition that occurs with dry skin, persistent itching, and scaly lesions. This debilitating significantly compromises patient’s quality life due to intractable itching other associated factors such as disfigurement, sleeping disturbances, social stigmatization from visible The treatment mainstay atopic dermatitis involves applying topical glucocorticosteroids calcineurin inhibitors, combined regular use moisturizers. However, conventional treatments possess certain degree adverse effects, which raised concerns among patients resulting in non-adherence treatment. Hence, modern moisturizers improve barrier repair function great value. One approaches includes incorporating bioactive ingredients clinically proven therapeutic benefits into dermocosmetics emollient. current evidence suggests these emollients aid improvement alleviate inflammation, pruritus xerosis.
